A Thoughtful Approach to Exterior Home Redesign

Revision by Robertson was created to fill a gap in the design market. Homeowners often have to choose between piecing together ideas on their own or committing to a full architectural or traditional landscape design engagement.

We offer a more flexible approach to exterior design—looking at the property as a whole and considering how architecture, landscaping, hardscape, outdoor living, privacy, function, and maintenance work together.

Good exterior design is not simply about selecting attractive plants, materials, or finishes. It is about creating a cohesive vision for the property and a realistic plan for bringing that vision to life.

Not every project needs to happen at once, and not every problem requires the most expensive solution. Sometimes the greatest impact comes from reworking what already exists, redirecting an investment, or creating a long-term plan that can be implemented thoughtfully over time.

Whether you are preparing for a major exterior transformation, working in phases, or simply trying to make smarter decisions about where to begin, Revision by Robertson provides a clear path forward.

Our Story

There was room for something in between—thoughtful, strategic design guidance that provides a clear vision, practical recommendations, strong visual tools, and a plan that can guide real decisions about what to change, what to keep, where to invest, and how each choice will ultimately work together.

That became the foundation of Revision by Robertson.

Meet the Founder

Amy M. Robertson

I have always been drawn to the potential of established homes—the ones with character, history, and good bones that may simply need a more thoughtful vision to bring everything together.

My approach to exterior design is rooted in looking at a property as a whole. I am interested not only in what looks beautiful, but in how a home and landscape function for the people who actually live there: how they entertain, where their children play, how much maintenance they realistically want to take on, where they need privacy, and how they want their home to feel when they arrive each day.

I do not believe good design means erasing the character of a home or replacing everything that already exists. Often, the most interesting transformations come from identifying what is working, understanding what is holding the property back, and making thoughtful changes that allow the entire exterior to feel more cohesive, intentional, and complete.

Revision by Robertson grew out of that perspective: a desire to help homeowners see the potential in their property and make confident, informed decisions about how to realize it.
